Weddings at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
One of the great joys of our church life is sharing in the sacred and joyful moment when a couple is united in marriage. A wedding is a profound milestone, and we are honored to walk alongside couples to make the celebration meaningful, holy, and memorable.
Marriage Requirements at St. Paul’s
To be married at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the following requirements must be met:
- At least one person in the couple must be a baptized Christian (any denomination).
- The wedding must be witnessed by at least two people.
- The couple must sign the Declaration of Intention (included in our wedding packet).
Pre-Marital Counseling
A minimum of three pre-marital counseling sessions with the priest is required prior to the wedding. These sessions are designed to:
- Build a relationship between the couple and the clergy
- Discuss the Church’s understanding of Christian marriage
- Explore what it means to live faithfully as a married couple
- Plan the wedding liturgy together
In some situations, the priest may recommend additional counseling or outside resources to support the couple’s preparation.
