Kids Church – Q&A
What is Kids Church?
Kids Church is a free, church-run program designed to help children grow in their faith in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate environment. Each session focuses on a topic—such as a teaching of Jesus—through lessons, games, songs, and hands-on activities.
What are the age requirements?
Kids Church is open to children ages 5–17. Participants are grouped by age to ensure appropriate learning and engagement.
Will my child be provided with a snack?
Yes. All children will receive a snack and juice or water.
What if my child has a food allergy?
You will have the opportunity to list any food allergies or dietary restrictions on your child’s registration form.
Can I stay in the classroom with my child?
Parents are welcome to observe at the beginning of class, but only approved Ministry Volunteers may remain in the classroom during the session. We encourage parents to take this time to run errands, attend service, or enjoy a quiet moment.
What should my child wear?
Children are welcome to wear any comfortable clothing that you deem appropriate.
Can I bring my child if they are sick?
To maintain a safe and healthy environment, we kindly ask that you do not bring your child if they are sick or showing symptoms of illness.
How will I be contacted if needed during class?
If we need to reach you during Kids Church, we will call the phone number provided on your child’s registration form. Common reasons for contact include:
-
Your child is sick (e.g., fever or vomiting)
-
Your child is extremely upset or inconsolable
-
Your child has an accident and needs your assistance
What does a typical Kids Church schedule look like?
10:00–10:25 – Check-In
10:25–10:35 – Welcome, Announcements, and Morning Prayer
10:35–11:15 – Bible Lesson, Q&A, and Sing-Along
11:15–12:00 – Arts and Crafts
12:00–12:35 – Lunch
12:35–12:45 – Recap of the Day’s Lesson
12:45–1:00 – Final Prayer and Free Time
Note: The schedule is flexible, based on the day's curriculum and the children's level of engagement. For example, if a Bible lesson sparks deep conversation, snack time may be shifted accordingly.
Will my child’s photo or video appear on the church's social media or in publications?
Only with your consent. Photos or videos will not be posted to St. Paul’s social media, website, or newsletter without written parental permission. This is requested on the registration card.
Can I change my photo/video consent later?
Yes. You may change your consent at any time by completing a simple addendum to the original registration card.
